I'M JUST A KATIE. STARING AT A COMPUTER SCREEN. WISHING SHE WAS A DESIGNER.

Step 1. Finish school. Check. Twice.

Columbus College of Art & Design Class of 2008, BFA with focus in Advertising & Graphic Design

Full Sail University Class of 2011, MFA with focus in Media Design and Design Management

I know that this may make me look smart on paper (or screen) but, come on guys, art school.

Step 2. Get A Job. Woof.

Graphic Designer at Victoria's Secret PINK from August 2008 to February 2015

Primarily focused on POS marketing but also dabbled in some package design and direct mailings. Pretty much the best first job out of college anyone could ask for. Not enough pixels on the page to list out everything I learned.

Graphic Designer at La Senza from March 2015 to July 2015

Short lived but with long term experience. Again, focusing on POS marketing. Also able to test my hand in the digital realm to keep brand look cohesive across channels for each floorset.

Senior Graphic Designer at Lane Bryant, Catherine's and Cacique from July 2015 to right meow

Nailed it. Senior level. Mom was proud. With this position I have been able to hone my skills across multiple

channels and brands. From POS marketing for Lane Bryant to direct mailings for Cacique to window explorations

for Catherine's. Not to mention email and social designs for all. Quite the ride so far.

Step 3. Work Life Balance. Ahhh, THE DREAM.

Not all work. Mostly play. I am happily married to the weirdest dude I could find at art school. Seriously, that was like finding a needle in a needle stack. And we concocted our very own little monster, our 2-year-old son, Maverick. Little dude is the shiz and I will fight you if you say otherwise. And Mat (the hubs) and I wouldn't be the same without or Old English Sheepdog, Ludo. Yep. We named our dog after a muppet. Again, he's the best. I know you're jealous. I'm jealous of myself.

Step 4. Make website to keep self relevent(ish).

Work in progress. But who's website, portfolio, life in general isn't??

Step 5. Break time.

Kidding! No breaks for you! Well, not for me. Maybe you. But I don't know you. Yet...dun dun dun.
